Committee Structure

The Work Behind the Work

The Regional Grand Lodge operates through a system of standing committees, each dedicated to a specific area of the Lodge's responsibilities. These committees report to the Regional Grand Board and ensure effective governance.

Charity & Welfare Committee

Oversees all charitable activities of RGLNI including the Masonic Polyclinic, Eye Centre, Masonic Primary School, Amrit Masonic Samiti, and the Jail & Artificial Limb Project. Reviews charity applications and distributes relief funds to Brothers and their families in need.

Meets Quarterly

Finance & Audit Committee

Reviews the annual accounts of RGLNI, examines lodge financial submissions, and ensures compliance with the financial regulations of the Grand Lodge of India. Works with the Regional Grand Treasurer on budget preparation and financial planning.

Meets Before Each Communication

Lodge Inspection Committee

Responsible for the inspection of lodges across the region to ensure compliance with ritual, constitutional requirements, and lodge administration standards. Provides guidance and support to lodge officers.

Meets As Required

Masonic Education Committee

Promotes Masonic education across the region through the Lodges of Instruction, study circles, and the publication of Northmason magazine. Supports new Master Masons in their understanding of the Craft.

Meets Quarterly

Byelaws Committee

Reviews proposed amendments to lodge byelaws and ensures conformity with the GLI Book of Constitutions. Works with the Regional Grand Secretary to guide lodges through the byelaw approval process.

Meets As Required

Membership & Growth Committee

Focuses on the growth of Freemasonry in Northern India through targeted outreach, the development of new lodges, and support for lodges with declining membership. Oversees the Universal Brotherhood Day initiative.
